I am self taught and began drawing horses at a young age. My first set of oils was a paint-by-number. (Horses, of course!) At 18, I got my first set of oils and took off.

I love color, contrast, sunsets, water reflections, lighthouses.

I love making people happy and painting a memory for someone is a real privilege.

I've worked with the public in retail and more recently in food service sales for Sysco (18 years) I like working with a variety of people. They are always a challenge, as is my artwork.

I also love spending time at my cottage on Beaver Island, where I enjoy fishing, sailing, writing melodies and lyrics, poetry and short stories.

I live in Harbor Springs, Michigan, and summer at my cottage on Beaver Island, Michigan.
